A small group workshop to discover the joys of drawing from real life Our Drawing People course equips you with essential skills in observing and capturing the human form with precision. Explore tones, proportions, and scale using a variety of mediums, including pencils, chalk, charcoal, and pen. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your technique, this inclusive class nurtures creativity and confidence, making art accessible for all ages and abilities. Part 1 - Standing Casual Poses - During this session we will be working with a live model who will create a range of casual poses with props Liddy will deliver session and will be on hand to offer as much or as little guidance as you need. The basics of proportions of the human body will be covered during the workshop and all materials will be provided. We will also be using a range of drawing materials, during the workshop, giving you chance to potentially try a media that you may not have drawn with before. Just to clarify that we will be studying a clothed model and the sessions aren't intended to be pure life drawing, rather capturing everyday moments. We provide tea, coffee and sweet treats, but also please feel free to being along your own refreshments if you like Liddy is the creative force and main tutor with Something Less Boring. She is a qualified Illustrator and also a qualified teacher. Liddy taught art for over 10 years at secondary school level before leaving to found Something Less Boring in 2017 with the aim of bringing art and sport to all ages regardless of ability in a fun, creative and inclusive way. Since April 2020 we estimate that Liddy has taught close to 500 online art sessions In her own words: "From as long as I can remember I have always dreamt about being an artist and illustrator. My passion has always been for art and I have always enjoyed being creative. Some of my fondest childhood memories are those spent with my siblings creating stories, drawing illustrations and making books. I guess it was from here that a profound love for all things creative was born and nurtured."
